It's not too far to go for your love of snow! Most of our guests tend to make their own way to the Chalet Paradiski, but if you prefer we have a full travel service at your disposal and can arrange your airport transfer service for you. Contact us with any requirement and we’ll take the hassle out of arranging it all. After all it is your holiday!

Air: Quickest

With a wide range of flights to many different airports near the French Alps it’s quick (1 hour 30 mins from London airports) and you are not tied down to living near London as many regional UK airports now also offer low cost flights. Transfer times to resort vary and, at your request, we will happily arrange you a transfer to the chalet door. Prices start at £27.50 per person one way – contact us for an airport transfer quote. We offer special transfer deals – they vary depending on the number in your group and the week you are booking – more info. on the special offers page.

Scheduled or Charter Flights?: You can purchase Scheduled flights (normal ones on sale direct to the public) or Charter flights (good if the scheduled flights don’t fly from near your home or they are just too expensive - we can give you a quote for flights not usually available to the public). The closest airports to Chalet Paradiski are listed below along with the direct scheduled flights flying to them from the UK. This service is particularly useful for peak times such as school holidays. Also if you really must travel on those peak dates but there’s nothing available you can opt to fly with carriers that can offer a low price but you are forced to change planes mid journey (ie KLM)

Airports:
Chambéry: 1.5 hour transfer, closest airport, but only a handful of carriers use it and transfers to resorts are not as well established. (Scheduled flights : flybe from Southampton or jet2 from Leeds-Bradfrod/Manchester)
Geneva: 2.5 hour transfer, Swiss/French airport served by most low cost airlines. The preferred airport for transfers and volume low cost flights. (Scheduled flights: British Airways, easyJet, flyglobespan, BA Connect, FirstChoice, Swiss, bmi baby, jet2
Lyon (St. Exupery): 2.5 hour transfer. Some good deals exist but transfers are more expensive than Geneva. (Scheduled flights: bmi, easyJet, Air France, BA Connect, bmi baby, British Airways
Grenoble: 2.5 hour transfer (Scheduled Flights: Ryanair, British Airways, FirstChoice
St. Etienne: 3.5 hour transfer. Ryanair offer great deals to this destination with further and more expensive transfers but a good choice if Geneva and Lyon flights are unavailable or overpriced (Scheduled flights: Ryanair

Top Tip: amazing value flights are available to those booking as soon as flights are made available by the carriers. It is very much worthwhile signing up for their automatic email notification to be first in line and get the best prices when they are released for sale – whether its for this years holiday or the next one!

Flight & train:

You can either fly to Paris (many low price deals are available from most UK airports) and get an overnight train, with your own bed, to arrive in Bourg St Maurice early the next morning (20 mins from chalet) meaning that this option allows you to get in an extra day or two on the mountain. Alternatively, on arriving in Paris you can take a TGV (high speed train) taking about 5 hours to Bourg St Maurice (20 mins from chalet).

Self Drive:

A good option for limitless luggage and your own transport within resort. The route through France (around 600 miles, c.9 hours driving) is straight-forward, and mostly on motorways, where the tolls will cost approximately 45-50€.

NB – Chalet Retreats does not have a private parking facility for guests, however there is free outdoor parking close to the chalet

Eurostar & Train:

A great hassle-free way to get to resort direct from London Waterloo is using the Eurostar. With either the overnight or day train option, there is plenty of choice. And if you take the overnight snowtrain you can get extra days on snow! The train also offers the shortest transfer time on arrival – c.20 minutes from Bourg Saint Maurice station.

Eurostar & overnight sleeper/TGV (high speed) combination:
London to Paris is 3 hours and then you can take an overnight sleeper to Bourg St Maurice (20 mins from chalet) or you can take a high speed TGV which takes about 5 hours. To book from Paris to Bourg st Maurcie you can visit the raileurope website.

Regular train:
The regular UK train to Dover and then the ferry as a foot passenger and then a high speed TGV train to Paris where you then change for a train to Bourg St. Maurice – either the overnight service, where a bed is provided on request, or take the 5 hour TGV. Coach:

Direct and cost effective coach travel from UK pick up points is available with GoByCoach or Eurolines. If you get the right service you can squeeze in an extra day on the snow
