Snow-Camp meets SnowChateaux
Ski & Snowboard Charity Snow-Camp partner with snowchateaux

'Snow-Camp meets snowchateaux 5 day special'
This season snowchateaux has teamed up with youth charity Snow-Camp who support inner city young people through a combination of skiing, snowboarding and life-skills, giving them the skills and motivation to succeed. Snow-Camp programmes take young people from underprivileged backgrounds, with very limited options and an uncertain future, from beginner through to qualified ski and snowboard instructors with a snowsports career and a bright future.
The chalet supporting this new initiative is our Les Arcs ski chalets Chalet Peisey at £289 per person (£249 for 2 to 12 yrs) on the usual snowchateaux catered basis inclusive of wine (Wednesday is chalet staff day off). For the period of 9th January to 14th January 2012, for every booking taken in our Chalet Peisey, the total price of the week’s half board catered stay is 100% donated to Snow-Camp! This will be in excess of £3400!

Les Arcs ski chalets Chalet Peisey is located in Les Arcs, Paradiski, France . It is a 2 minute walk from the nearest lift. The private heated ski locker is at the lift itself to avoid walking with boots and skis. Facilities include sauna, large lounge with open centrepiece fireplace and double height cathedral ceilings plus sun facing balcony with floor to ceiling glass doors across the width of the lounge, wifi, pool table, table football, darts board, entertainment mezzanine with XBOX 360, Public PC, Flatscreen TV, Satellite UK TV.
It has 6 bedrooms sleeping from 12 up to 15 people (4 twins, 1 triple and 1 quad). Each room is full ensuite with individually controlled underfloor heating. Located only 1 lift from the World's largest cable car joining Les Arcs with La Plagne to create the World's largest linked ski area.

But who are Snow-Camp and what difference will they make?
snowchateaux worked long and hard to find a great charity partner to work with; and it was Snow-Camp that really stood out. I (Dan Evans) had my first experience of working in the incredible French Alps at the age of 21 and haven't looked back since living most of my adult life in the Alps! From chalet host, to chalet couple and then to chalet company owner with my wife and three children.
Up until this season snowchateaux have given to children with physical and mental disabilities and now after having found out about the great work that Snow-Camp do with young people, who haven't had even near the same opportunities that we and our guests take for granted, we are partnering with them to make a real change to hundreds of children’s lives. Our relationship with snow changed our lives for the better, motivated us to succeed and inspired us to live life to the full.
We are honoured to be able to help Snow-Camp instil the same sensation and motivation for disillusioned or unemployed young people. This isn't just a few people’s lives that Snow-Camp are changing for the better but HUNDREDS of young people every year who would never ever have such a chance. This isn't a new project and the proof of the pudding is the fantastic outcomes Snow-Camp provides, getting young people through the life-skills and ski / snowboard training courses, passing their qualifications and finding jobs in the ski or snowboard industry, where once their options were slim if not non-existent. Check out Snow-camp’s latest mini movie to see what they get up to!
Our first donation program with Snow-Camp was in the form of their City Drinks auction in June 2011 at Norton Rose PLC's head office top floor garden terrace - overlooking Tower Bridge , the 'Gherkin', the Thames and the Tower of London. A fabulous venue kindly donated by Norton Rose as a Snow-Camp charity partner. Graham Bell (5 time winter Olympics) did a great job as 'auctioneer' and over £10,000 was raised from this fabulous evening. Dan Charlish (Director) hosted what was a very good turn out of representatives from UK companies looking to partner with Snow-Camp. I wouldn't be surprised if he had lost his voice by the next day! A big thank you goes out to Barefoot Wines who kindly provided their award winning Californian varieties at the event.
Also Snow-Camp and snowchateaux greatly appreciate the donation made by the right honourable gentleman who won the auction for a 5 day special at snowchateaux for him and his friends, which was donated to Snow-Camp - bringing in an additional £1400 to the cause.
We were disappointed not to see some snow friends of snowchateaux and Snow-Camp alike were not able to attend. Jenny Jones (Winner X Games Slopestyle) and Ben Kilner (Got throught the first round of the Olympics Half Pipe) weren't there however Bens helmet he wore at the Olympics was auctioned off for a hefty sum!

The second snowchateaux donation event has now been released and is available for you to join RIGHT NOW! A 'Snow-Camp meets snowchateaux 5 day special' in our fabulous catered chalets in the Worlds largest linked ski area (Les Arcs in the Paradiski ski region).
