SnowChateaux's Catered Chalets
SnowChateaux offer you modern and enchanting, or charming and 'old world' 18th century chalets. Ski chalets designed in keeping with the high altitude 17th century setting and formidable facilities in traditional Alpine style. The aged wooden beams running the length of the chalet, rustic detail and surrounding pisted forests offer a stunning mountain chalet setting. Traditionally built in local stone and wood with open log fire places, beautiful attention to detail and either a bubbling jacuzzi / toasty sauna / entertaining games room, the chalets are an ideal homely retreat after a day on the mountain.
The chalets sit in picturesque Les Arcs and La Plagne. All chalets easy access (2 minute walk on flat to nearest lift, private ski locker at lift) to both Les Arcs and La Plagne (see "Peisey Nancroix" below).
Every SnowChateaux chalet has a private, comfortable and traditional lounge / dining area with roaring open log fire place, tastefully decorated and each with a charachter of its own. Where Olden times meet modern minds you will find an outdoor 8 person jacuzzi (Chalet Ancolies Lodge), 6 person sauna (in Chalet Laiterie, Paradiski & Les Arcs), games rooms (pool table, darts board, table football - in all chlets except Ancolies Lodge) wifi internet (except Chalet Peisey) and chalet flat-screen pcs or TV/DVD/Hifi in all chalets. The closest lift drops you off at the entrance to the Vanoise Express cable car and a high speed 6 man lift. This is also where the ski schools meet making it easily accesible for beginners and experienced skiers alike. The Vanoise Express is the biggest cable car in the world which links Les Arcs to La Plagne in 4 minutes allowing you to effortlessly experience both resorts in the same day.

With the relaxing lounges with fireplaces, fine food and facilities available to you in the Chalet you may not find time to visit the local bars, restaurants and shops. We obviously love the place but for first hand info: here are some quotes from past visitors and the UK newspapers, who seem to agree with us!
Matt Wiggett - visitor (March 2007) "I just wanted to send you a quick e-mail to thank you very much for all your efforts last week...Everyone had a great time. I think I can speak for all of us in saying that this was by far our best group ski holiday yet !!!"
Alastair Brown - visitor (16 March 2006)
Stayed in Peisey, Les Arcs. Great location! If weather sunny, hop over to La Plagne or go to the top of any part of Les Arcs, if poor, stay around PeiseyVallandry and lower Les Arcs for tree line skiing. Peisey gives you the best of all worlds!
Glen Roberts - visitor (Feb 28 2006)
There a few nice bistro style restaurants. Even though it was busy at Christmas it was mostly just straight on the lift. There is lots for all levels.
David Pryce - visitor (09 April 2006)
Five days of clear blue skies and tons of snow. Peisey Nancroix is a (relatively) quiet, family- oriented village, although there are sufficient small restaurants and bars. Charming wooded runs. Only one ski-lift brings you to Vallandry centre, with the whole of Paradiski at your disposal.
'The Independent' Newspaper
"After a few years of serious investment, Peisey Vallandry is now regarded as a world-class destination for discerning skiers.
Peisey-Vallandry has achieved cult status, Check it out before the crowds do.
For intermediate skiers and boarders who want high-mileage cruising each day, Peisey-Vallandry provides a welcome fresh alternative to M?ibel and the Trois Vall?s. Vallandry and the other villages of Peisey and Nancroix in the Les Arcs ski area used to be regarded as a tree-level bolt-hole, but that changed in December 2003 with the opening of the ?12m Vanoise Express, a double-decker cable-car linking Les Arcs to La Plagne.
These two major resorts now form the ski area of Paradiski with 144 lifts and 420km of piste. The ski area tops 3,226m and the bottom is at 1,350m. A new hands-free lift pass adds to skiing convenience.
Peisey-Vallandry, with its wide and well-groomed pistes, is situated just below the cable-car station. From this quiet little base, your biggest decision each day is whether to ski the slopes of Les Arcs or to take the link and explore La Plagne.
What Vallandry offers that larger resorts cannot is a true village ambience.
Residences must use local wood and stone: tower blocks are not allowed.
A small collection of restaurants, bars and shops offer prices far lower than those in the surrounding big-name resorts. The Tom Pouce day nursery has a secure outdoor play area. Sleigh rides and a cinema add to the attraction for families"
