We are a family run and owned chalet company looking for resort staff and we also have oppportuniteis in our Uk based office. It's all about the people and so we make maximum effort to find you - the right person and to look after you for all of our time together, which in some cases is since we began!
Chalet couples, Maintenance managers, Drivers, Chalet cooks, Supervisors and Resort Managers are all an intregal part of our snowchateaux team delivering the snowchateaux experience, where we all work together to uphold our long standing commitment to excellent chalets, service and catering.
Over half of our chalet teams returned this season, despite most having previouly planned to travel elsewhere or relocate back to the UK, as they had such a good time they just can't get enough! We think this is as from our humble beginnings where myself and my wife Marina worked many years together as a chalet couple before starting the business. When you've seen what it's like to run your own chalet and to run the entire business then it truly brings home how much of a personable business we are in and what makes, and keeps, our guests happy.

UK
Travel & Sales professional (experience essential)
Locations: primarily office based role - CARDIFF, UK
Salary: £competitive with some travel and commensurate with experience.
We are expanding our ‘snowchateaux’ brand and are seeking a talented and committed sales executive with the experience and determination to grow new business and maximise relationship value within our existing customer base. Exceptional candidates will have a fast-track option into management, as the company quickly grows to meet demand.
The successful applicant will be a hard-working, tenacious self-motivated problem solver, amicable and with excellent people handling skills. They will also be fast learning, organised and committed, driven by success, commission and a sense of achievement.
The ideal candidate will show a consistent performance in optimising conversion rates from inbound calls and emails. Good experience in managing, maximising and streamlining online and offline sales, providing timely and tailored email / telephone response and be accustomed to creative lead generation via channels such as digital marketing.
For exceptional candidates who show quick learning, dynamic thinking, and persistently go the extra mile, a fast-track career path is available in managing and developing both snowchateaux and other Chalet Retreats ltd commercial interests. Alongside the Director you will be helping us to achieve our growth targets, achieve success in our new ventures and fulfil our vertical market aspirations. A preferential pay-scale will apply to this elevated role.
The successful candidate will have/ be the following :
1) Experience and a proven track record in new business sales & account management. You respond well to a results driven framework, with a strong sense of ownership for your work.
2) A good telephone manner, strong lead generation and prioritisation skills, a pro-active approach, building empathy without effort, and strong ability to close.
3) Structured in your thinking, hard-working, highly motivated and equally talented within a team environment or when operating independently. Possess a positive energy, eager attitude, innovative flair and a flexible nature. Maximise client relationship value and that of their peers. Have ideas that stand out from the crowd creating marketing / sales success stories.
4) Quick learning to understand the precise needs of our guests and the ability to effectively and convincingly match the benefits of ‘snowchateaux’ product offerings through clear and effective communication.
5) A proven independent professional attitude to managing your own time, nurturing a realistic sales pipeline and demonstrating accountability for your activities and the outcomes. The ability to multi-task without losing focus on your role priorities.
6) A determined, objective and loyal individual, you readily make yourself available to fulfilling new or different tasks and roles to their conclusion, as and when they are required, for the good of your team mates and the business.
7) A working knowledge of Digital Marketing. Experience in multi-channel lead generation, be it online exposure, email marketing, mobile marketing etc.
8) A personal or commercial background in skiing or snowboarding and/or travel sector is mandatory.
9) Literate in Microsoft Office, gmail, sales software. Website content management system and online booking system experience would be advantageous.
10) Good email and proposal writing skills. Presentation and team-leading skills are advantageous.

Travel & Customer Service Representative (experience essential)
Locations: primarily office based role - CARDIFF, UK
As sales representative, with good incoming enquiry handling experience, you will be optimising conversions and backing this up with exceptional customer care. Your existing experience in motivating and enthusing people, compounded by your knowledge and love of skiing and the hospitality industry, will effectively communicate the ‘snowchateaux experience’ awaiting our guests in resort.
As customer service advisor you will have proven abilities in efficiently and pro-actively handling guests concerns with a helpful manner at all times, and in all situations. A forward thinker and planner you will be able to manage and improve our existing customer care program and in-house systems.
Good email writing and telephone skills are essential. The role requires a tenacious self-motivated problem solver with strong personal organisation.

FRANCE
Chalet Couples: (experience essential)
Locations: Tignes & La Plagne (France)
Per person: £Competitve + tips + ski pass + meals + accommodation + ski equipment (on loan) + snowchateaux technical jacket and clothing (on loan) + insurance + travel to and from UK.
This role involves one person being a chalet cook and the other a host. Our larger chalets involve a 3rd team member or part time assistance as and when required. The positions either comes with a studio apartment separate to the chalet or with living quarters within the chalet itself. There are also roles available where couples can work together in their own chalet or work seperately in 2 different chalets.
Chalet host/cooks responsibilities will involve; preparing, cooking and serving
- Welcome drinks and canapés
- Breakfast: Cooked options and continental.
- Afternoon tea: homemade cakes, biscuits etc.
- 3 or 4 course evening meal
- Cleaning, including all bedrooms and bathrooms etc., mountain hosting may be involved for the correct applicant, and generally offering great hospitality, service and assistance to ensure their holiday is memorable, for all the right reasons.
4 years before we first started Snowchateaux (which is now over 6 years ago – how time flies!), myself (Dan) and my wife (Marina) took on our very first chalet couple role and we were made very aware by our guests that it was our care and concern for every aspect of their time with us that made the difference from other experiences they had previously of catered chalets. As a result snowchateaux was born, and has meant we have needed more chalets year on year. Despite now spending more time than I had ever intended in an office (having children has made it so!!) we are regularly reminded how that it was not only the great chalets and location but principally our passion and motivation as a chalet couple that ensured a great time for our guests and their requests to come back. We will never forget this. Resort Manager: (experience essential)

Do you have previous experience in running multiple chalets or worked in a very similar position?
We're a family run chalet company that is expanding into new resorts. We are looking for a unique team member to help uphold our long standing commitment to excellent service. The role involves
- Ensuring the snowchateaux guests experience is at a similar high standard across all of our chalets.
- Building relationships with guests, managing chalet couples/teams, liaising with local suppliers, reporting to and direction from the UK Operations Manager. All with one goal: towards a rewarding snowchateaux guests experience.
- Our chalet couples are those with experience and of a calibre that allows for their chalets to run well. However a major part of your role is to support them in delivering the service standards our guests are accustomed to. From weekly team meetings to on the spot visits, there is always something that can be improved or assisted with. We pride ourselves in presentable, efficient, well trained and interesting chalet teams. They are the backbone of the guests experience and so to maintain this quality throughout the seasons and across each chalet is key.
- Maintaining and analysing expenditure and accounts by chalet and by resort. Having a keen eye to see which chalets are overspending (maybe due to unnecessary wastage, poor stock control, catering decisions etc.) or those chalets that are under-spending and maybe not be meeting our catering promises in the way that we feel fit, (maybe due to inadequate portioning, not keeping to our select menu etc. )
- Organizing and prioritising those resources available to you, so as to ensure the chalets and their facilities are operational, and with minimum disturbance to our guests experience. With a maintenance professional, driver, support hosts, flexible chalet team and multiple vehicles at your disposal, your experience will come to the fore - as your management skills and quick understanding of a situation and best practice to co-ordinate these resources will be key. From effectively communicating room allocations and dietary need to chalet teams, collecting and distributing ski passes to co-ordinating changeover days.
- Where problems arise and issues need addressing you will come into your own as the problem solver with the inter-personal skills needed to deal with all, and any, given situation. Your day to day organisational and time keeping skills will mean that the daily goals you set for both yourself and your supporting team are prioritised well, achievable and completed to satisfactory standards.
- Allowing time for yourself to recharge, relax and enjoy the mountain in what is a demanding and yet rewarding position in one of the World’s greatest locations.
The role may also involve aspects of maintenance, driving and possibly serving full cooked and continental breakfasts and generally offering great hospitality, service and assistance to ensure our guests holiday is memorable, for all the right reasons.

- Afternoon tea: homemade cakes, biscuits etc.
- 3 or 4 course evening meal
- Cleaning, including all bedrooms and bathrooms etc., mountain hosting may be involved for the correct applicant, and generally offering great hospitality, service and assistance to ensure their holiday is memorable, for all the right reasons.
Chalet Driver & Maintenance responsibilities will include driving guests Saturday and Sunday and in the week for our ski chalet service / movement of stock and people / support of resort management. Driving to our other resorts (Les Arcs and Tignes) and nearby suppliers.

NO ACCOMMODATION PROVIDED
Per person: £Competitve + tips + ski pass + meals + ski equipment (on loan) + snowchateaux technical jacket and clothing (on loan) + insurance + travel to and from UK.
It is not a necessity but it is highly favourable to have a catering background in case of the need to cover for any chalet team cooks who may be ill or injured.
Chalet hosts responsibilities will involve; cleaning, assistance in preparing food, cooking and serving
